Scrimshaw
I had been creating Scrimshaw pieces for a living from the 1970s to the 1990s. I also became a skilled silver and goldsmith, hand engraver and wood carver.
In 1990 I became a model maker, sculpting jewelry and giftware items for Givenchy, Richelieu, Karl Lagerfeld, and Estee Lauder, just to name a few, and occasionally a scrimshaw piece. For a hobby, I carve wood and restore antique machinist tool boxes.
I had always said, “When I retire, I will scrimshaw again”. As you will see I am doing just that. On my website are current examples of my endeavors, present, and past. The scrimshawed whale teeth and swordfish bills are present. I am also showing a few examples of my carvings, and model making. To view my silver jewelry, you can click on AngelsAndWhimsy.
